Cultivation

Should be planted in rich, well-drained soil in a semi-shaded location, although it tolerates direct sunlight. Requires regular watering.

This plant tolerates cold, can lose its leaves in the winter, returning to burst the following spring. It must be protected from frost.

It is easily multiplied by the division of rooteed stems, by cutting and sowing.
